Summer Is Over!

So summer has finally come to an end. A few new faces have emerged, and we're welcomed to have you. Hopefully this Fall will lead to great new things. Also, I haven't seen Dewy in a while, I wonder what's up with him.

The MiniDisc Throwback

A few days ago while browsing youtube for videos featuring my favorite Japanese band, I stumbled across a commercial for a MiniDisc player. A couple of eBay transactions later and I have a NetMD recorder and five colourful 80-minute discs. While the audio quality is a bit lacking, I simply adore the style of these tiny diskettes. They have a retro quality that is accompanied by a sort of mystique due to the format's short lived lifespan.

Because, yeah.

I got my tablet from Asus and yea it still has problems but whatever. Don't buy a TF101. Hi. Also I don't like my job but what else is new. Some one else needs to post something, blah blah blah.

Out in the Town: Miami

So for anyone visiting Miami, it's not a bad place to visit but living here has a few downsides. It's always nice to get a refresher and go out to see what's there, just to regain some appreciation. I went out with some friends and snapped some photos of the bay, so I thought I'd share them here.

Quick Gift - Panda Socks

The other day I had to go gift shopping for some one that I didn't know to well personally. So after some frustration walking around the mall and finding nothing that fit this person's niche interests, I came across some peculiar looking socks. I think socks are a pretty decent gift to give some one if you only know some basic stuff about them. Socks are cheap enough that it's okay if the recipient end's up not liking them, and they likely won't feel too much pressure to gift anything back to you; a personal plus because I hate being in a gift war. Socks wear out and are needed to be replaced all the time. There are also different kinds of socks, if you know the person just a little bit it's easy to guess what type and design to get them.

French

I'm learning french in 6 weeks. This is gonna be nuts. Also the channel is having it's first anniversary. Exciting!

One of my many rants

Ohai there, if you know me you know that I'm an avid pageant fan and often go on rants on certain delegates and results, this is one of them.

There are only two things I don't accept in pageantry, 1) when an undeserving ugly hideous HORRENDOUS girl makes the cut (Venus Raj of the Philippines for example) and the other is when people hype UGLY candidates

I watch all the pageants from the countries that send strong delegates to international pageants one of them for example being Nuestra Belleza Mexico, And In August the final of Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2011 (English: Our Beauty Mexico) was held in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco.

It was a rather weak batch of girls compared to the last 8 years but there were four favorites for the crown, Karina Gonzalez (Who ended up winning) Mariana Berumen (Who won Nuestra Belleza Mundo Mexico) Paulina Burrola and (I still cannot understand this one) Grecia Gutierrez

I was disgusted by the amount of support she was getting "Shes the one! TONS of Potencial" "Shes a GODDESS! Gorgeous!"
I was just sitting there thinking "ARE YOU FUCKING BLIND? THAT THING SHOULD BE SENT BACK TO THE SEA WHERE IT BELONGS"

I have no idea how a girl who looks like a dead puffer fish could make it as far as a national pageant

So then final night comes, I swore if she got anywhere near the crown I would spit on the TV, the top 15 was announced, to my dislike she was included, then the top 10, SHE WAS STILL INCLUDED, top 5 SHE WAS STILL THERE, thankfully a rather stupid man asked her a rather stupid question she and in term gave a very stupid answer,

I was RELIEVED when she was called 3rd runner up, although the people weren't so happy, some went on to yell "FRAUD!" while then cameras weren't rolling.

Sumo Chairs

I saw these Sumo chairs in a YouTube video. They look awesome but so damn expensive. 400 USD for a beanbag chair, pretty much. One day...!

Bad mood good vid

Today was a crappy day for me, so I ended up moping around the house and napping pretty much all day. Eventually I got on YouTube and started watching random videos of interest (something that I never do due to my craptastic internet connection). Eventually I stumbled across Rocco Botte's channel. For those of you who don't know him, Rocco is one of the masterminds behind a group known as Mega64. Mega64 is known for putting out parody videos of video games portrayed in real life, and have done several shorts for IGN. I strongly recommend checking them out, as well as Rocco's channel. It was just the thing to cheer me up today, as nonsensical and silly as some of the videos are.

The Kingdom of TaLKiNG

The Kingdom of #TaLKiNg is located on the far away land of Rizon, it is ruled by the king, Rei_Sama, he loves his people and would do anything for them.

When Rei is away the channel is left in the hands of the Princes and Princesses (Admins)

Collet is the magical CupCake Princess who's current intention is to destroy The Kingdom's newly found rivals, the Kingdom of Eagletits! errr Eagleits*. Her main objectives are to increase channel growth and keep a fun atmosphere.

Maylay is the dashing Prince in Red, he's the mastermind behind this blog and keeps order in the kingdom

Liamlifeless is probably the nicest of the royal family, he loves metal and is always willing to lend a hand

Larks is the castle IT guy, he's the creator of the most channel's beloved bot, TsunBot, he mostly lingers in the background but shows up when needed

UndeadRevolution is the quietest of the royal family, he's one of Collet's closest and Confidant.

Kuro_Shinobi is Rei_Sama's brother, he's usually off on adventure and focuses on his studies.

mooshe/mooshie is the castle care taker, his favorite show is Mastercook and Heaven's Kitchen who he usually discusses with Collet.

Helion is the castle wizard, he's always producing new potions and loves to share them with the Kingdom's people.

polyasleep is a princess? (I don't know her gender) who was recently discovered, she almost never talks and is ALWAYS asleep,

AnimeWatcherNewbie is a peasant who complained not being here so I had to add him, likes Anime and along with Collet, listen to Madam Goo Goo

Sousti is a very quiet castle guard, he arrives once on a blue moon and his words move so slow as if a rocket was up his ass

Aeri is the channel witch, she beats disobeying people with her staff and uses her magic powers to make people do her bidding.

Together we manage a Kingdom of a population in the 40s (people die and reincarsinate all the time =/)
